About Iter Gateway
Taking its name from the Latin for a journey or path and its logo from a sixteenth-century compass, Iter Gateway is a starting point for individuals and communities who are or wish to be engaged in medieval and early modern studies. From here you can connect to our scholarly publications at Iter Press and to our programs for engagement at Iter Community. You will also find background information about our not-for-profit organizations, Iter Inc (incorporated in New York, 1997) and Iter Canada (incorporated in Toronto, 2018).
Across our publications and programs, we endeavour to support collaboration; a global perspective; contemporary approaches to disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and cross-disciplinary research; digital humanities and the use of new technologies. We are committed to finding sustainable pathways using open source software and models of open access.
Iter Press publishes scholarly research across medieval and early modern studies, with a secondary field in Italian studies. Includes Books, Databases & Journals.
Iter Community facilitates and supports communication, collaboration, and digital project creation for research communities of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
