Iter's Medieval and Renaissance Bibliography

The mandate of this high-quality research tool is to provide a comprehensive bibliography of all scholarly materials pertaining to the study of European culture between 400 and 1700. It offers the following features:

• The largest online bibliography.
  More than 1,010,000 records for articles, books, dissertation abstracts, encyclopedia entries, reviews, and essays from books and conference proceedings.

• The fastest growing bibliography.
  Approximately 60,000 records are added each year.

• Comprehensive journal coverage.
  Iter's goal is to cover entries from a journal's first volume to the present day.

• Timely updates.
  New information is added daily, to keep scholars abreast of the most recent scholarship.

• A powerful search interface.
  The search interface permits expert searching by keyword, title, author and, for selected records, by Library of Congress subject headings and Dewey Decimal Classification. The interface supports Boolean and positional operators, and allows limiting by language, publication type and publication year. Results lists can be sorted by author, subject, title, relevance or publication year. Records can be marked and conveniently e-mailed or downloaded. Plans to OpenURL-enable the bibliography by January 2008 are well underway.

Iter's International Directory of Scholars

For anyone interested in the study of European culture from 400 to 1700, Iter's International Directory of Scholars (IDS) is a comprehensive resource which includes not only the usual directory contact information, but also detailed information on the research and teaching careers of scholars around the world. IDS also enables the timely collection of new information in so far as individual subscribers to Iter are able to update and edit their personal files, including the bibliography of their publications. Access to the IDS is included with a subscription to Iter's Medieval and Renaissance Bibliography.

MRTS Online

Iter and Medieval and Renaissance Texts and Studies (MRTS) are pleased to present our first MRTS Online publication, John T. Shawcross's Milton: A Bibliography for the Years 1624-1700 (Revised) and for the Years 1701-1799. This bibliography is an extensive revision and continuation of Milton: A Bibliography for the Years 1624-1700, published by MRTS (Binghamton, New York, 1984). The only Milton bibliography that covers the eighteenth century, this work aims to bring together all manuscripts and editions of Milton's works and all studies and critical statements concerning Milton's life and works, all allusions and quotations, and all significant imitations during the years 1624-1799.
